Bears Injury Report: Alshon Jeffery Could Return in Two Weeks

The Chicago Bears are expected to be without wide receiver Alshon Jeffery for this weekend’s matchup against the Tennessee Titans, but the rookie could rejoin the team in the next week or two, reports Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.

Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is expected to miss Sunday's game against the Titans in Tennessee but the rookie playmaker could be available for the Nov. 11 home game with the Texans or the Nov. 19 game against the 49ers in San Francisco.

Biggs notes that Jeffery should be able to return from the broken hand that’s sidelined him since early Oct. in the next two weeks, according to an unnamed source. Bears coach Lovie Smith has said that he wouldn’t be able to put a timeframe on Jeffery’s return.

Smith did say that Jeffery has been able to remain in shape while rehabbing his hand injury. Despite missing time to injury, the rookie is still third on the team in receptions (14) and second in receiving yards (184).
