Michael Vick Remains Eagles Starting Quarterback

Michael Vick remains the starting quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles for the time being, reports Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Therehave been rumblings that following the Eagles’ poor showing Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons the team could replace Vick with rookie quarterback Nick Foles.

The Eagles released a depth chart yesterday that still has Vick as the team’s starter. Both he and Foles have told reporters that they haven’t been told of an impending quarterback change.

Entering the season, most Eagles’ fans knew it was a possibility Foles would be seeing time this season as Vick’s replacement. However, many thought this was due to Vick’s proclivity to get hurt.

Instead, Vick’s been able to remain relatively healthy over the team’s first seven games, but his performance has left something to be desired. The veteran has thrown eight interceptions and has fumbled nine times.
