Steelers Injury Report: Ryan Clark Suffers Concussion

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark exited yesterday’s game against the Washington Redskins after sustaining a concussion, reports Marc Sessler of NFL.com. Clark wasn’t able to return, leaving the Steelers without both of their starting safeties, as Troy Polamalu didn’t start due to a calf injury.

The Pittsburgh Steelers safety suffered the head injury on a third-quarter tackle.

Clark underwent evaluation following the game. Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com shared texts with Clark who said he felt good and could recall details of the game.

The Steelers are certainly hoping to get Clark back as soon as possible, but no timeframe has been put on his return as of yet. Concussions can be tricky so there is certain to be more news on Clark’s injury and status for Week 9 over the next several days.
