It would come as no surprise to see Nick Foles take over as the Philadelphia Eagles' starting quarterback should Michael Vick go down with yet another injury. However, Vick may be replaced while healthy. The Eagles fell to 3-4 on the season and coach Andy Reid is working on saving his own neck. The only way to do that would be to save the Eagles' season.
According to Rueben Frank of CSN Philadelphia, Vick acknowledged the possible change and realizes the only thing he can do is play. In the post-game press conference Vick said he knew Reid had to be thinking about making a change, and if it happened he would support his coach. But it wouldn't be easy.
While Vick has struggled mightily this season, yesterday's loss should not be pinned on him. Vick could have performed better and the Eagles could have still lost. When the defense gives up 30 points, it's hard to overcome. But at this point in the season, Vick's troubles will be magnified and we may see Nick Foles next season.

“It’s tough when you know everything is up in the balance, but that’s the decision that coach is thinking about making, and I’m going to fight until he says, 'Come on out,' and he takes me out of the game. Despite everything that’s been said the last couple weeks, I still continue to put in the hard work and the effort and try to do everything I can to prepare and win football games, man."Vick already has nine fumbles on the season and eight interceptions. In seven games, he alone has given the ball away a total of 17 times. That can't happen. On the plus side, Vick has eight TD passes and over 1600 yards. But it's not enough if he keeps turning the ball over. In the Eagles loss to the Atlanta Falcons yesterday, Vick went 21 for 35 for 191 yards and one TD. He didn't turn the ball over, but he also didn't do enough to offset the team's poor defense.
