Wide receiver Greg Jennings was able catch a touchdown pass
for the Green Bay Packers in their week 4 win over the New Orleans Saints.
However, it looks like his participation in the contest could cost him.
Jennings reinjured his groin Sunday, as coach Mike McCarthy
characterized the setback as a “flare up,” noting he is back to where he was a
couple weeks ago.
This could mean Jennings will be unavailable for Sunday’s
contest against the Indianapolis Colts. His groin injury caused the 29-year-old
to take himself out of a game against the San Francisco 49ers and he then didn’t
suit up for Green Bay’s week 3 matchup with the Chicago Bears.
Entering the year as one of Aaron Rodgers’ favorite targets,
Jennings’ groin injury has limited him to 12 catches for 78 yards and one
touchdown so far this season. McCarthy said it’s possible the team could elect
to sit the wide receiver for a week or two in order to allow him to fully heal.
