Eagles Injury Report: Michael Vick, Nnamdi Asomugha, Antrel Rolle

The Philadelphia Eagles are 3-1 and lead the NFC East, but it hasn't been easy.  They have been outscored by 17 points this season, they've turned the ball over far too often, and they've had to battle through injuries.  Here is your Eagles injury report:

  • According to Marc Sessler of NFL.com, Michael Vick suffered a knee contusion in yesterday's win.  Andy Reid said in his Monday press conference that he does not expect the injury to sideline Vick, though.  The Eagles quarterback has battled injuries since the start of the season, and really since the start of his career with the Eagles.
  • Nnamdi Asomugha was able to play through an eye injury in yesterday's game and drew a pivotal offensive pass interference call in the fourth quarter.  According to Zach Berman of Philly.com, Asomugha was going to go to the hosptial after being poked in the eye earlier in the game.  However, a doctor from Wills Eye Hospital was at the stadium and was able to clear Asomugha to play.  The injury should not keep him from playing in the Eagles next game.
  • Antrel Rolle was questionable for yesterday's start, but he was eventually cleared to play.  Rolle,  according to Jenny Vrentas of the Star-Ledger, had injured his knee last week in a collision with a cameraman.  Rolle was activated before the start of the Eagles' game against the New York Giants and he should be good to go for week five.

The Eagles will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday in Pittsburgh.  The Steelers have stumbled out of the gate this year, but the Eagles will still need their players healthy if they are going to run their record to 4-1.
