While five Dallas Cowboys players have been ruled out for
Monday night’s game against the Chicago Bears, wide receiver Miles Austin
(hamstring) and defensive end Marcus Spears (knee) are expected to play. Meanwhile, it’s questionable whether or not linebacker
Anthony Spencer (shoulder) will be able to suit up.
Austin found his way onto this week’s injury report with a
hamstring injury. While hamstrings are
always worrisome, especially when it comes to receivers, Austin’s injury doesn’t
appear to be significant and the 28-year-old doesn’t figure to impacted. He’s caught 14 passes for 243 yards and two
touchdowns over the first three weeks of the season.
A knee injury landed Spears on last week’s report as well,
but the 29-year-old was able to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He’s expected to suit up once again tonight.
Spencer, who led Dallas with seven tackles last week, wasn’t
able to practice Thursday or Friday, but he’s still expected to play tonight.
