Bears Injury Report: Matt Forte, Earl Bennett, Julius Peppers

The Chicago Bears are listing running back Matt Forte (ankle) as questionable for tonight’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, and coach Lovie Smith has been very non-committal regarding 26-year-old’s status.  Meanwhile, wide receiver Earl Bennett (hand) is also on the team’s injury report as questionable, while defensive end Julius Peppers figures to play.

Forte was able to participate in Bears’ practice Saturday after being limited for much of the week.  He missed Chicago’s week 3 contest after spraining his ankle against the Green Bay Packers during Chicago’s second game of the season.

Bennett, who’s caught six passes for 82 yards over the first three games, has been dealing with a hand injury for the past two weeks.  The injury has impacted his performance, but, like Forte, there’s a possibility he plays tonight against the Cowboys.

Defensive end Julius Peppers did not practice Thursday due to coach’s decision, but he was able to return Friday and is expected to play.  The 32-year-old has collected 2 ½ sacks so far this season.
