St.Louis Rams head coach, Jeff Fisher, confirmed with the St.Louis Dispatch that rookie running back Zac Stacy will get the start against the Houston Texans.
Richardson averaged 2.9, Cunningham 2.5, and Stacy 5.5 per carries thats the difference between the running backs. Stacy has been compared to Washington Redskins Alfred Morris, but that has yet to be determined because he is still a rookie. Stacy will have to show his capabilities and toughness against tougher opponents. The Rams next five games will be against the Texans, Panthers, Seahawks, Titans, and Colts.
Stacy was drafted by the Rams in the fifth round in last years draft from the University of Vanderbilt. At Vanderbilt, Stacy had 581 carries for 3,143 yards, averaged 5.4 yards per carries and had 30 touchdowns. He was named in 2011 and 2012 All-SEC second team by the Associated Press.

"He'll probably start the game off, just like he did yesterday." - Fisher on starting @ZSTACY_ against the @HoustonTexansStacy had 14 carries for 78 yards in last Sundays win against the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-20. The Rams also have running backs Daryl Richardson, Isaiah Pead, and Benny Cunningham. They have averaged less than 3.0 per carries and that is why the move was necessary. Stacy has showed decisiveness and capability of gaining the extra yardage after the first hit.
