The availability of New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley for Sunday's contest against the Cincinnati Bengals remains in question. Ridley is being slowed by a knee injury sustained in last Sunday night's win in Atlanta. As reported by NESN.com, Ridley was absent again from practice on Friday.
Ridley is listed as questionable on the Patriots' team injury report. He's coming off his most productive game of the season; 11 carries for 53 yards with two receptions for 26 yards. Ridley still hasn't found the end zone this season.
Ridley had been getting a fairly decent number of the carries in the Patriots' time share at running back. New England likes to go with a few different running backs and will often go with the hot hand on a given day. As NESN points out, LeGarrette Blount is probably in line to get the lion's share of the carries Sunday, but that can change quickly with a fumble or missed assignment in the Bill Belichick system.
