As it stands right now the Oakland Raiders only have two quarterbacks on the roster. The Raiders recently cut third string quarterback Matt Flynn leaving only Terrelle Pryor and Matt McGloin. Pryor has looked really impressive early in the season, but has already had to miss one game due to a concussion. The Raiders may want to add a veteran quarterback just in case another injury happens.
The Raiders may be looking for a veteran quarterback that can backup Pryor. David Carr worked out with the team on Tuesday and it appears he may be the favorite to land the job after a solid workout. Although, an impressive workout from Carr the Raiders haven't decided whether to sign him or anybody else yet and if they do sign a quarterback it is not likely to be this week. The team has a bye week next week so that would be the perfect time for the Raiders to sign a quarterback if they choose to do so.
The former number one pick has been trying to work his way back into the NFL. He spent training camp with the New York Giants before being let go and he had a workout with the Titans after Jake Locker was injured.
