The Atlanta Falcons not only lost last night’s contest to
the New York Jets, but they lost a pair of key players on offense to injury.
Wide receiver Roddy White exited the game in the fourth quarter after suffering
a hamstring injury, while a concussion forced running back Jason Snelling from
the contest.
After scoring the Falcons’ first touchdown, Snelling
ultimately had to leave the game with a head injury. Atlanta later determined
that ailment to be a concussion, ruling the running back out for the remainder
of the contest.

Snelling was replaced mostly by Jacquizz Rodgers, who led
the team in rushing. If Snelling is forced to miss an extended stretch as a
result of the injury, Atlanta’s other options behind him and Rodgers include
Antone Smith and Josh Vaughan.
White entered the game nursing a high ankle sprain that has
given him trouble all season. The All-Pro didn’t aggravate that injury, but he
instead suffered a hamstring injury against the Jets. It’s the last thing White
needed, as he’s been largely ineffective all season due to his ankle injury.
