Steelers acquire Levi Brown in trade with Cardinals

Darin Gantt of NBCSports reports that the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals have agreed, pending a physical, to send Cardinals' left tackle, Levi Brown, to Pittsburgh.

The deal is still in the planning stages and Brown would still need to pass a physical but Gantt reports that this is a "done deal."

The Steelers are obviously unhappy with the play of Mike Adams and Marcus Gilbert.  Kelvin Beachum has been rotating in for both players.

The Arizona Cardinals drafted Brown with the fifth overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft.  Cardinals head coach, Bruce Arians, referred to Brown as an “elite” left tackle this offseason.  It is unclear at this time exactly what the Steelers gave up to acquire Brown but reports are filtering out that they gave up “late round stuff.”

Not sure if Brown is a happy camper, going from the 2-2 Cards to a winless Steelers team but it must feel like a porcupine quill in your eyeball.
