Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger injures right index finger in Sunday’s loss

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, went to London, England and did not come back to the Burgh with a win.  He did, however, come home with a partial dislocation of his right index finger, reports Darin Gantt of NBCSports.

If you stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night, the medical term for Big Ben's injury is a subluxation.  Whatever phrase one wants to use, Roethlisberger has a dislocated index finger and for a quarterback that could be an issue.

The injury did not keep number seven from finishing the game last Sunday and Roethlisberger is a tough football player so this injury should not cause problems for the Steelers' signal caller.

What will cause problems for Ben and the Steelers is that they are winless this season.  With week 5 in the NFL being the Steelers' bye week, Roethlisberger and the Steelers will have plenty of time to rest up and try to fix this broken down steel mill.

If Roethlisberger’s phalanges prevent him from being large and in charge for their October 13 game against the New York Jets, quarterback, Bruce Gradkowski, is currently number two on the depth chart.

At this point, does it make any difference if it is Roethlisberger, Gradkowski or Ivan Putski?
