Hammered by the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, the New York
Jets may have lost their two best wide receivers, Santonio Holmes and Stephen
Hill.
UPDATE:
Rich Cimini of ESPN NewYork via twitter confirms concussion for Hill
UPDATE:
Josh Alper of NBCSports reports Holmes is expected to miss a few weeks because of his injured hamstring.
Darryl Slater of The Star-Ledger reports that Holmes suffered a hamstring injury in the fourth quarter and did not return. Hill sustained a head injury on the second play of the game. Hill did not return. Hill was injured when Titans’ safety, Michael Griffin, walloped Hill in an apparent helmet-to-helmet hit. Hill stayed down for a few minutes and was helped off by Jets’ medical staff. I imagine the NFL will look at this hit to see if there were any infractions.
Jets head coach Rex Ryan after the game was not aware of the status of his two players and it is anyone’s guess if either WR will be available for Monday night’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
