The Houston Texans will face a big challenge in week four when they host the 3-0 Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. After being questionable for last week's game recovering from a concussion, Andre Johnson will once again be a game-time decision this week. Johnson injured his shin in the week three loss against the Baltimore Ravens.
So far, Johnson's 2013 season has been riddled with injuries. Houston will definitely need his presence on the field for the Texans' offense to be effective against a very good Seattle secondary.
Here are the rest of the Texans week four injuries:
Will Play: Owen Daniels (knee), Garrett Graham (hip, groin), Ed Reed(hip), Wade Smith (knee)
The Texans' tight ends are dealing with some injuries, but both Daniels and Graham should play on Sunday. Daniels could play a key part in the game and help exploit the Seattle defense over the middle of the field.
Reed should make his second start this season. The veteran safety made his Texans debut against his former team, the Baltimore Ravens, last Sunday. Reed played in limited fashion and wasn't very effective against the Baltimore passing game. Reed should be healthier this week and play a bigger role against Seattle.
Smith has been on the Texans injury report every week this season with the knee injury, but he hasn't missed a game yet. The veteran offensive lineman was limited in practice all week, but he should be rested up and ready to play on Sunday.
Questionable: Duane Brown (toe), Kareem Jackson (illness), Andre Johnson (shin), Jonathan Joseph (toe), Darryl Sharpton (hip, foot)
Brown did not play last week against the Ravens and he was sorely missed. The Texans will need their starting left tackle on Sunday against a talented Seattle pass rush. However, Brown has missed practice this week and will be challenged to start against Seattle.
Johnson may headline this week's injury list, but he showed some promise in practice this week and Coach Kubiak believes he has a good chance to play against Seattle. Jackson, Joseph, and Sharpton were the other Houston players limited in practice this week and will be game-time decisions.
Out: Tim Dobbins (hamstring)
Dobbins has been ruled out this week. The Texans inside linebacker has played largely a reserve role behind Brian Cushing and Sharpton.
Stay tuned for more Texans injury updates.
