Chiefs' Eric Fisher suffers a concussion

Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Eric Fisher suffered a mild concussion in the Chiefs win over the Giants on Sunday.  Concussions are a serious injury whether they are considered mild or severe, but in this case the Chiefs are optimistic that Fisher will not miss much time.
Fisher must be able to pass the leagues standard concussion tests before he can get cleared to play so it is uncertain whether Fisher will miss next week or not.  If Fisher is unable to go then back up offensive tackle Donald Stephenson will get the call.  Stephenson stepped in for the Chiefs when Fisher was unable to return in the Giants game and Stephenson played well, in fact it looked like the offensive line played better overall once Stephenson entered the game.

Fisher has struggled at times early in this season.  He has been dealing with minor shoulder and finger injuries during training camp and preseason and now he has been diagnosed with a concussion.  The injuries certainly are not helping the learning process for the number one overall pick in this years draft.  The Chiefs think Fisher will end up being a pro bowl player for them for years to come, but for now it is still a struggle for Fisher.
