The Terrible Towels of Steeler Country can now be used to do
something other than wipe away Pennsylvania tears as Pittsburgh Steelers tight
end, Heath Miller, returns to active duty.
Darin Gantt of NBCSports reports that the Pittsburgh Steelers have targeted the rest of the NFL for termination, activating, TE, Heath Miller. Miller coming off the physically unable to perform list is great news Steelers' fans.
Sidelined with a torn anterior cruciate ligament since last season, Miller is working hard to return and it appears his hard work has paid off. Getting off PUP means Miller passed his physical and can return to practice.
Miller is worth a boatload of steel to the Pittsburg offense. Miller is currently third on the Steelers’ all time receptions list trailing only behind Steeler greats John Stallworth and Hines Ward. Miller was also having a very solid 2012 campaign before he shredded his knee in Week 16 against the Bengals garnering 71 receptions for 816 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Activating Miller before the start of Week 1 makes the most sense for the Steelers and Miller. If the Steelers waited until after the start of the regular season to activate Miller from the PUP list, Miller would not be able to play until Week 7.

The Steelers must feel it can be Miller time before that.
