The Tennessee Titans lost wide receiver Nate Washington and
running back Shonn Greene to foot injuries during last night’s preseason game.
Following the contest, head coach Mike Munchak told reporters – including Jim
Wyatt of The Tennessean – that the injuries sustained by Washington and Greene
were both “minor.”

Following their injuries, Wyatt reported that Washington and
Greene were both back on the Titans’ sideline. Neither required a walking boot,
which is usually sported as a precaution, especially during the preseason.
Speaking with reporters after the game, both Washington and
Greene were optimistic that they’d be fine and would be able to suit up for the
team’s regular-season opener. Washington indicated that he was dealing with a foot
injury, while Greene said he was hampered by soreness in his ankle.
The fact that both were up and walking and didn’t require crutches
or a walking boot means that their ailments were minor, just like Munchak
indicated. While the Titans could keep both out of practice or even their last
preseason game, it doesn’t seem like the injuries are going to threaten the
availability of Washington or Greene for Week 1.
