Browns' Barkevious Mingo could Miss Week 1

Adam Schefter of ESPN has reported that the sixth overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft is “unlikely” to play the season opener against the Dolphins, because of a lung injury picked up in the preseason game versus the Lions on August 15.

Schefter has also reported that Barkevious Mingo is probable to play in the second game of the season, versus the division rival and defending Superbowl Champion Baltimore Ravens.

First year head coach Rob Chudzinski will be disappointed that his defence will be without their impactful first-round pick. However he said earlier in the week that Mingo was doing better than expected, but said that the Browns would see how the player progresses before allowing the rookie to return to action.

Mingo along with free agent signing Paul Kruger had been brought in to help improve the pass rush of the Cleveland Browns. Browns fans will have to wait for a little moment longer to see the outside linebacker on the field in regular season action.
