Two time Super Bowl Champion Lawrence Tynes has quite the unique injury. Tynes is battling a staph infection that has kept him out for the majority of the preseason and could possibly end up on the injured reserve list according to FOX Sports’ Mike Garafolo.
A day after head coach Greg Schiano stated that Tynes along with guard Carl Nicks were both “responding well” to treatment for a staph infection, Tynes’ wife Amanda decided to put a halt to that rumor rather quickly.
With final cuts quickly approaching, Tynes may find himself out of a job soon…at least in Tampa.

I hear my husband is responding "well" to treatment. LOL! He's NOT responding at all yet. This is our #bucslife pic.twitter.com/Gy4z4OcAXATynes has spent the past six seasons with the Giants winning Super Bowl XLII and XLVI. He was brought in to Tampa Bay this offseason after kicker Connor Barth suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon injury. With Tynes on the shelf the Bucs brought in former Buffalo Bills placekicker Rian Lindell to provide competition with rookie Derek Dimke.
