Dallas Cowboys owner
Jerry Jones normally doesn’t shy away from media attention. One topic that the
longtime owner didn't want to rush and answer was whether Jay Ratliff
will begin the 2013 season on the PUP list. Mike Florio of NBC Sports has reported Ratliff will in fact miss the first six games of the season. Ratliff who missed ten games last season due to a sports hernia and
ankle injury suffered a groin and hamstring injury during his conditioning test
this pre-season. A quote from Jones earlier in the day led us to believe this was likely.
A lack of presence up the middle will allow the offensive line to get to the second level and linebacker Sean Lee. Lee the fourth year linebacker has had his own injury problems, not to mention he has to live up to the $51 million dollar extension he signed earlier this year.

"We’re getting close to cut down day, though, and Ratliff still hasn’t been able to shake the groin and hamstring injuries that have kept him on the sideline."Ratliff’s play has been on the decline over the past five years however Dallas doesn’t have the depth to account for his missed productivity with 27 career sacks. Jason Thatcher is the other starting defensive lineman and a five-man rotation will try to fill the void with a combined five and a half sacks.
