Formerly of the Chiefs and Browns, RB Peyton Hillis was considered a fantasy breakout candidate in 2011 after carrying the ball for Cleveland 270 times for 1,177 yards and 11 scores in 2010. A Madden-cover birth did no favors for Hillis as he skid between injuries and only found the end zone 3 times in 2011 and only once in 2012 (KC).
The one year deal doesn't prove much confidence that Hillis is even guaranteed a roster position. He's likely a benefactor of the NFC arms-race for running backs. Both Carolina and New Orleans are known RB hoarders. (Stewart, Williams, Tolbert. Sproles, Thomas, Ingram. Respectively.) If Peyton's value will likely be looked at as a fullback. He spent his college career blocking at Arkansas for Darren McFadden.
Hillis holds no fantasy value. If something were to happen to sophomore stud DougMartin I wouldn't bank on Hillis carrying the same work-load.
