Laurent Robinson: 'I feel like I can still play'

Some players have their seasons -- and even careers -- ended after suffering one concussion in a season. Former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Laurent Robinson endured four concussions in 2012 alone, limiting him to seven games last season. While that's enough to put any player's career in jeopardy, Robinson told Tom Pelissero of USA Today that he is symptom free and ready for next season.
"I feel like I can still play, of course," Robinson told USA TODAY Sports on Tuesday. "There's going to be doubts about me with the concussions. But the only thing I can do is tell teams to bring me in, work me out and go from there. I've been putting in the work all offseason, trying to get better, trying to get right. I know myself that I can still play. It's just if a team wants to take a chance on me."
After catching 54 passes for 858 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Dallas Cowboys in 2011, Robinson signed a five-year, $32.5 million deal with the Jaguars in March of 2012. While the deal included $13.6 million in guaranteed money, Jacksonville parted ways with Robinson less than a year later.

Robinson recently resumed football drills for the first time since suffering his most recent concussion during a Nov. 18 loss to the Houston Texans. He'll continue his rehab process in hopes of signing on with a team prior to the start of the upcoming season.
