In a recent interview with Giants.com, defensive end Justin
Tuck said that he’s hoping to see improvement on the team’s defensive line this
season. He’s hoping that some of that increased contribution can come from him,
and while he added that he’s feeling “pretty healthy,” the 30-year-old is “still
not 100 percent.”
Tuck a force for the Giants in 2010. That season he totaled
11.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries. Over the past two
seasons since, Tuck has only accounted for nine sacks and one forced fumble.
While Tuck was able to play in 15 games last season, he was
hampered by injuries. While he’s not yet fully recovered, he’s on pace to be
healthy by the time training camp rolls around. The veteran pass rusher is in
the final year of his current contract, so he’ll certainly be looking to do
well this year to help his team and hopefully cash in on the free agent market.
