Veteran quarterback Tarvaris Jackson – who was placed on
waivers by the Buffalo Bills on Monday – is heading to Seattle in the next few
days to visit with the Seahawks, according to John Clayton of ESPN.
Entering the league as a second-round pick of the Minnesota
Vikings, Jackson joined the Seahawks prior to the 2011 season. He became the
team’s starting quarterback, but the next season brought the Matt Flynn trade
and selection of current starter and franchise signal caller Russell Wilson.
Jackson saw his time in Buffalo come to an end quickly. After
entering the offseason as the team’s only veteran signal caller, the Bills went
out and acquired Kevin Kolb and drafted EJ Manuel.
If Jackson winds up with the Seahawks, he will be competing
with fellow veteran Brady Quinn to back up Wilson.
