Former Cleveland Browns kick returner and wide receiver Josh
Cribbs’ free agent tour was heating up recently, but it came to an end
yesterday when the Oakland Raiders announced an agreement with the veteran, according
to Jerry McDonald of The Mercury News.

Teams – including the Arizona Cardinals and New England
Patriots – expressed interest in Cribbs earlier this offseason, but talks
stalled over concerns about his knee. He was coming off knee surgery, and it
played a large role early on in negotiations.
Recently, Cribbs and his agent came out and said the
returner was fully healthy. At that point, Cribbs again met with teams, and
he’s now agreed to spend the 2013 campaign with the Raiders.
A three-time Pro Bowler, Cribbs will compete with Jacoby
Ford to handle return duties. He has eight kickoff returns for touchdowns over
his career, but his value has been severely limited by the recent rule that
moved kickoffs from the 30- to the 35-yard line.
