There has been little buzz surrounding Indianapolis Colts
free agent linebacker/defensive lineman Dwight Freeney this offseason. However,
Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports that this is likely to change next week when
the former All-Pro begins taking visits. Rapoport adds that roughly four to
five teams are interested in the veteran, who’s marking is heating up.

From Total Access: Expect Dwight Freeney to start taking visits next week. I'm told 4-5 teams interested as his market heats up.

Rapoport adds that one potential issue holding up a Freeney
signing is that the pass rusher continues to seek a “pretty substantial deal.”
While Freeney struggled to adapt to the Colts’ 3-4 switch last season, he’s
proven an effective pass rush, even if only in limited situations.
As far as potential suitors go, Rapoport believes the
Tennessee Titans could look Freeney’s way if their talks with fellow free agent
John Abraham don’t progress. Other teams listed include the Denver Broncos and
Detroit Lions. All three teams mentioned would view Freeney as a situational
pass rusher.
