Don't be fooled by the headline, yes you would expect the new Head Coach of an NFL team to be raving about his newly drafted first round Quarterback. However, Doug Marrone of the Buffalo Bills is over the moon with EJ Manuel via the Buffalo Bills website, after Friday's practice:

That's relatively light praise coming from a first-year head coach, but keep in mind that Marrone spent seven seasons in the league as an assistant with the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints before migrating to coach Syracuse.
Marrone's career with the Bills invariably will be linked to Manuel's success, so we'd be surprised if the coach dished out anything but praise for his young quarterback.
On the field, Manuel has played through organized team activities as the third quarterback behind Kevin Kolb and Tarvaris Jackson. That doesn't mean much, and the Bills would surprise us if they made anyone other than Manuel their Week 1 starter. That's where all of this is headed.
For this personal writer, EJ Manuel looked like the second or third best QB on the 2013 draft board behind Geno Smith, however, the Bills traded their pick to the St. Louis Rams (who used it on Tavon Austin - good business) and then took Manuel at higher than the Dallas Cowboys, who only graded him a fourth-round pick, for instance.
Manuel graduated as a senior, and has that intangible of never having lost a Bowl game during his career - a winning habit the Bills hope he can bring to the currently New England Patriots dominated AFC East.
