The New York Giants were one of the first teams to be tied to Green Bay Packers free agent Charles Woodson at the start of the offseason. Nothing has developed between New York and Woodson, but Josina Anderson of ESPN is now reporting that the Giants are interested in the veteran defensive back.
Beyond the Giants, the Oakland Raiders have also expressed interest in Woodson, as his former team reportedly has an offer on the table. Woodson recently visited with the Denver Broncos without an offer, and the Carolina Panthers have also been thrown into the mix.
While the list of potential Woodson suitors is growing, there is still a consensus that the Broncos are the favorite to land the defensive back.

Just received another Charles Woodson update:"The Giants have just put their toe in the water again for Charles Woodson." --Carl Poston. After losing Kenny Phillips to free agency, the Giants have safeties Ryan Mundy, Stevie Brown and Antrel Rolle on the roster. Woodson could join in a reserve role, but he wouldn't be viewed as a starter in New York.
