While details weren’t immediately available, it is believes
that Jammer’s contract with the Broncos is for more than the veteran minimum.
Prior to signing with the Broncos, Jammer had spent 11 seasons with the
Chargers.
Denver has revamped its secondary this offseason, adding
Jammer and fellow veteran defensive back Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. This new
duo will be paired with Champ Bailey, and it’s not clear if one of the three
veteran cornerbacks will make the switch to safety.
Beyond the Broncos, the Washington Redskins were also said
to be interested in Jammer. However, Washington was only willing to offer him a
one-year deal for the veteran minimum.
