Baltimore Ravens re-sign Bryant McKinnie

Interest in free agent offensive lineman Bryant McKinnie had picked up recently, as the veteran visited with the Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers. However, McKinnie's former team -- the Baltimore Ravens -- remained in contact with him, and they were ultimately able to convince him to re-sign. McKinnie inked a two-year deal with the defending Super Bowl champions that can potentially earn him up to $7 million, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

While McKinnie met with the Dolphins and Chargers, both clubs felt that the veteran's desire was to remain in Baltimore, according to Rapoport. McKinnie had recently received offers from both Miami and San Diego, but he ultimately decided to rejoin the Ravens.

McKinnie spent a majority of last season as a backup lineman for the Ravens. However, injuries struck late in the regular season, and they ultimately forced McKinnie into a starting role for the playoffs. He responded, playing well during the team's Super Bowl run.
