Former Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o was one of several high-profile prospects to slide into the second round of the NFL Draft. However, it doesn't sound like he'll make it past the Baltimore Ravens at No. 62, as Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Super Bowl champs are "very interested" in Te'o.
While "very interested" is a term that is thrown around not infrequently, PFT goes on to say that it wouldn't be surprising to see the Ravens go so far as trade up in the draft to select Te'o.
There was some thought that the Ravens might select Te'o with their first-round pick, but they instead opted for safety Matt Elam. According to PFT, this wasn't a knock on Te'o's ability as much as it was praise for Elam, as Baltimore continues to have interest in the linebacker.
Beyond the Ravens, the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers are a few of the other teams to be tied to Te'o. It will be interesting to see where the enigma winds up.
