Former Steelers nose guard Steve McClendon visited the Green Bay Packers, per a league source

The Packers have significant cap room remaining – even after
signing linebacker Clay Matthews to a lucrative and long-term extension – while
the Steelers do not. Green Bay could attempt to offer McLendon a deal,
similarly to how the New England Patriots made Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel
Sanders an offer.
McLendon has been used as a backup in Pittsburgh, but most
expect him to take over for Casey Hampton as the team’s nose tackle this
season. Considering the Steelers have only $700k of cap space remaining, it
would be hard for them to match an offer for McLendon without restructuring
another deal or cutting a player.
