The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been the team most tied to New
York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, who is reportedly available. However, it
didn’t appear the Bucs were willing to surrender their first-round pick in the
upcoming NFL Draft in order to acquire the All-Pro. However, Pro Football Talk
is now reporting that Tampa Bay would be willing to ship No. 13 overall to New
York in exchange for Revis.

While this certainly adds a wrinkle to negotiations, it
doesn’t appear that it alone will result in a speedy agreement between the Bucs
and Jets. According to PFT, New York wants “a lot more” than just a first-round
pick in this year’s draft.
It’s unclear what the Jets’ asking price for Revis is, but
they could be looking for something close to what the Minnesota Vikings received
for wide receiver Percy Harvin – a first- and seventh-round pick for this year’s
draft along with a fourth-round selection in 2014.
Whatever the case, this latest bit of news means that Revis
to the Bucs rumors are unlikely to subside anytime soon.
