There has been speculation that Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano has hesitations surrounding quarterback Josh Freeman. These rumors weren't quieted when the Bucs selected Mike Glennon in the third round of the NFL Draft last weekend. However, Schiano told reporters -- including Buccaneers.com -- that the team doesn't have a timeframe on Glennon, adding that Freeman is Tampa Bay's starting quarterback.
Still, Freeman is entering the final year of his rookie contract, so Tampa Bay will have to make a decision on his long-term future with the club.

“I think that’s hard with any rookie quarterback,” said Head Coach Greg Schiano. “It’s going to be a matter of how fast he grasps our system and all those things. And the fact of the matter is, we have a starting quarterback.”
Glennon is the first quarterback the Bucs have selected in any round since they took Freeman and made him their signal caller of the future. Freeman looked good for the most part in 2012, and he says he doesn't feel pressure from the Bucs selecting Glennon.
Still, Freeman is entering the final year of his rookie contract, so Tampa Bay will have to make a decision on his long-term future with the club.
