Giants' David Baas undergoes elbow surgery

New York Giants offensive lineman David Baas underwent surgery on his elbow earlier this week, according to Ralph Vacchiano of The New York Daily News.

Baas went under the knife earlier this offseason, undergoing an unknown procedure. This week the surgery helped remove bone spurs from his elbow. Given the timing of the surgery, Baas is expected to rehab throughout the Giants' offseason program, and he'll likely be sidelined through mini-camp in June.

Regardless of the multiple procedures he's undergone this offseason, Baas is still expected to be a full participant when training camp begins. The lineman did play in all 16 games for New York last season, despite dealing with multiple injuries.

Beyond Baas, Vacchiano notes that fellow offensive lineman Chris Snee also recently underwent surgery on his ailing hip. He's in a different situation than Baas, as he's been participating in the team's offseason workout program.
