Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey told reporters -- including Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk -- that the team will continue discussing a trade involving offensive lineman Branden Albert with the Miami Dolphis.
The Dolphins surprised some last night when they traded up to select defensive end Dion Jordan during last night's NFL Draft. Miami could have taken a offensive line prospect, but instead they went for defense.
This leaves left tackle -- the position formerly filled by Jake Long -- vacant. It could certainly be a sign that the Dolphins are confident they'll be able to acquire Albert from the Chiefs.
Kansas City took one of the big three offensive lineman last night, and presumably Eric Fisher can slide into the left tackle position. This makes Albert expendable, and it would seem only a matter of time before some agreement is worked out that sends the O-lineman to Miami for draft picks.
