We’ve already seen Joe Montana’s son receive an invitation
to San Francisco 49ers minicamp. Another son of a former NFL great has been
given a shot to latch on with his father’s former team, as the Minnesota
Vikings have invited Chris Carter’s son – Duron – to a tryout, as have the
Baltimore Ravens, according to Mike Garafolo of USA Today.

Confusion here on the Duron Carter front. He hasn't signed with Minnesota. He's been invited to try out, as Rick Spielman told @tompelissero

Also, Carter has been invited to try out for the Ravens as well. So he might make a run there instead of Minny.

Duron spent time at his father’s alma mater – Ohio State
University – before also joining Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College,
Alabama and Florida Atlantic while in college. The shifting of scenes had to do
with his academic issues.
In the words of his father, Duron “Just. Hates. (Bleeping).
School”
Chris Carter believes his son with thrive in an environment
where he only has to focus on football. He promoted Duron over the weekend,
saying he knows “there aren’t a lot of better receivers than him in the draft.”
