26-year-old Andre Smith has been a 'top priority' of the Cincinnati Bengals since the beginning of the free agency period. I moved Smith to No. 1 on my available players list after Sebastian Vollmer signed his deal on March 24th. Smith was the Bengals first-round pick in 2009 and played his first full season in 2012.
Smith's deal is worth $18 million over the next three seasons. I'm sure the recent addition of RB Giovani Bernard -- the 37th overall pick from North Carolina -- gave the team additional motivation to solidify the big guys up front and their offensive line in general. Comparatively, Cincinnati got a great deal on Smith who is making significantly less than his St. Louis counterpart Jake Long, who signed a four-year, $34 million deal this offseason.
