The Tennessee Titans elected to hold onto veteran wide
receiver Nate Washington through the start of the new league year. However, Washington
could still be released, but the Titans will reportedly first look to trade the
wide receiver, according to Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com.

According to sources, the Titans are shopping Nate Washington.

Washington has led the Titans in receiving yards in each of the
past two seasons. Tennessee views him as a nice complementary receiver, but
they no longer view him as worthy of his current contract. The 29-year-old is
set to receive $4.2 million in 2013.
Considering there are reports that the Titans don’t want
Washington for what he’s currently making, there doesn’t figure to be much of a
market for his services. Instead, teams will likely wait it out and pursue him
after he’s cut by the Titans.
Expected to eventually part ways with Washington, the Titans
are reportedly in the market for a more dynamic receiver. One of the free
agents that has been connected to Tennessee is former St. Louis Rams wide out
Danny Amendola.
