Asomugha was recently released by the Philadelphia Eagles after spending two disappointing seasons with the team. After signing a big free agent deal with the Eagles, Asomugha largely struggled during his time in Philly.
The Saints hired Rob Ryan to be their new defensive
coordinator, and he coached Asomugha when both were members of the Oakland
Raiders. It’s been reported that Ryan is making a big push to sign the veteran
cornerback.
Asomugha also recently visited with the San Francisco 49ers and has been heavily tied to the club. Beyond the Saints and 49ers, the Houston
Texans, Denver Broncos and St. Louis Cardinals are all rumored to have interest
in Asomugha.
