The #Ravens have agreed in principle to a five-year deal with Elvis Dumervil.

Dumervil’s contract is worth up to $35 million, according to
Adam Schefter of ESPN. He receives a $1 million base salary in 2013, along with
a $7.5 million signing bonus. His contract also includes a $3.5 million injury
guarantee, bringing the total of guaranteed money to $12 million.
Dumervil was poised to re-sign with the Broncos recently,
but the deal was never completed due to a blunder by the defensive end’s former
agent. While he was an end in Denver, Dumervil will now become an outside linebacker
with the Ravens and their 3-4 defensive scheme. The 29-year-old will help
replace linebackers Paul Kruger and Dannell Ellerbe – who were lost to free
agency – and Ray Lewis – who retired after the 2012 season.
