Former New York Giants running back and current free agent
Ahmad Bradshaw told the Michael Kay Show (report via The Star-Ledger) that the New York Jets are one of several
teams that have expressed interest in him this offseason.
Beyond the Jets, Bradshaw said the Pittsburgh Steelers and
Green Bay Packers have also shown interest in the running back. He says that
wherever he goes, he wants to have an opportunity at being the primary rusher.
"There's a lot of teams out there that need running backs," Bradshaw said, via The Star-Ledger. "I want to go to a team (where) I can be the No. 1 back, get multiple carries every game. I just want to be able to help and be a big part of it."
Bradshaw is one of the few intriguing running backs
remaining on the market. He’s still 27 years old, and he’s shown impressive
bursts in the NFL with the Giants. However, he’s also been hampered by injuries
– specifically to his feet – which may have teams hesitant to count on him as a
No. 1 option.
