The Miami Dolphins have been busy this free agency period,
but they are not done making moves yet. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported
yesterday that Miami is “very much in” on Atlanta Falcons free agent cornerback
Brent Grimes.

Dolphins still not done in free agency - very much in on CB Brent Grimes, who played on franchise tag in '12. could land there soon
— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) March 28, 2013
La Canfora added that Grimes could “land” with the Dolphins
soon. The free agent played under the Falcons’ franchise tag last season.
Grimes could have been the best free agent cornerback
available this offseason, but he suffered a torn Achilles tendon last year – an
injury he’s continuing to recover from. He already visited with the Dolphins
during the first week of free agency, and he’s since been connected to the
club. He is viewed as a potential replacement for Sean Smith, who signed with
the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this offseason.
So far this offseason, the Dolphins have already added
several high-profile names – including wide receiver Mike Wallace and
linebacker Dannell Ellerbe.
