The San Francisco 49ers made it clear at the scouting
combine that they intend to part ways with wide receiver Randy Moss and not
bring him back for the 2013 season, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football
Talk.
Per a league source, the Niners were making it clear at the
Scouting Combine that they intend to steer clear of Moss in 2013.
Moss signed with the 49ers last offseason and spent the 2012
campaign with San Francisco. He caught 28 passes for 434 yards and three
touchdowns in a reduced role.
While Moss didn’t garner much media attention in San
Francisco during the regular season, he made it known that he didn’t like his
role as a reduced contributor during the playoffs. The 49ers will be seeking
upgrades at wide receiver this offseason, but Moss likely won’t be one of the
names they consider.
