Former NFL quarterback Pat White took part in a workout with
San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh yesterday, according to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area.
White last appeared in the NFL in 2009 as a rookie with the
Miami Dolphins. He was released by the Dolphins at the end of training camp in
2010 after appearing in 13 games for Miami in ’09. He carried 21 times for 81
yards and didn’t complete a pass that season.
White has made it clear that he’s attempting a comeback this
offseason, as he participated at West Virginia’s pro day earlier this month. The
49ers were among the teams present at the workout.
San Francisco traded Alex Smith to the Kansas City Chiefs
earlier this offseason, leaving the team with two quarterbacks on its roster; starter
Colin Kaepernick and reserve Scott Tolzien.
