The Minnesota Vikings will attempt to trade wide receiver
Percy Harvin this offseason following an “embarrassing tirade” directed at head
coach Leslie Frazier, according to Mike Max of CBS Minnesota.
Harvin left the Vikings last season, and many believed this
was mainly due to the wide receiver’s injury. However, Harvin’s exit had more to do with his blowup with Frazier than it did with his injury.
This tirade came during the season when Harvin was sidelined
due to an injured ankle. It was done in front of teammates, who were disappointed
in the wide receiver’s actions. After this, Harvin was placed on injured reserve.
In a move toward less tolerance for that type of behavior,
the team will attempt to trade Harvin. The wide receiver had a similar outburst
involving former head coach Brad Childress.
Despite these reports, there should still be interest in
Harvin as he showed his dynamic playmaking abilities last season when healthy.
The 24-year-old caught 62 passes for 677 yards and three touchdowns over nine
games.
