With the NFL Combine underway, and with all the injured players either pulling out of the skills test or reducing their role, we thought today would be a good today to run through some of the stories coming out of the Combine.
Players from across the country have gathered over the weekend to show off their skills and try to improve their draft stock. Some will succeed, and some will fall further than they could have ever expected.
Manti T'eo
The Houston Texans have spook with Manti T'eo and asked all the prerequisite questions about his girlfriend hoax. After the meeting, coach Gary Kubiak was impressed.
Goodwin had success in what many consider the most important drill in the Combine. He showed speed and fluidity in the event, and he raised a lot of eyebrows.

“He’s a darn good player, and we’re looking at inside linebackers,” coach Gary Kubiak said about one of the team’s needs. “He’s an effort player. He can run and hit. There’s a lot to like.”Marquise Goodwin

Marquise Goodwin looked smooth on the gauntlet. In my eyes, that's the most important drill for the speedster this weekend.Matt Barkley

Matt Barkley was once considered a future number one pick. He had a solid run at USC, but injuries have teams concerned. Regardless, Barkley has the skills and the intangibles. He should go high in the draft.
Text I received from a scout this morning: Matt Barkley will not get past the Arizona #Cardinals at No. 7 overall.Follow @TheNFLInjuryRpt
