Cowboys Rumors: Dallas Should Trade Tony Romo

Following another disappointing season, the Dallas Cowboys should part ways with quarterback Tony Romo this offseason, according to Gil Brandt of NFL.com.

Everybody says they don't read the paper, they don't listen to the radio or watch TV, but I don't think that's true. I think they do. When everybody in Cowboys Nation is saying that Dallas has to get rid of Romo, I think that carries over to the team.
I think it's time to trade Romo. You hate to do it, but there's a time when a team has to just cut its losses.

If you look at the statistics, Romo wrapped up another successful season with the Cowboys Sunday night. The quarterback totaled 4,903 passing yards with 28 touchdowns, 19 interceptions and a QB rating of 90.5 on the year and a completion percentage of 65.6%.

However, Romo once again failed to take care of business when the lights were at their brightest. After throwing two first-half interceptions against the Washington Redskins, Romo threw his third pick with minutes to go in regulation, sealing Dallas’ fate.

While there aren’t many viable quarterback options out there on the open market or in the draft, Brandt isn’t the only one calling for a Romo trade. It will be interesting to see how many changes there will be in Dallas this offseason following another disappointing campaign.

  2. No on McCoy... No on Vince... Trade Romo to KC for first round pick and maybe a 3rd rnd pick... Draft Colin Klein first pick, and go after a good solid OL draft pick and pick up a good frew agent Interior OL withe the money you free up from Romo trade

  3. Sounds like he's sticking with the Cowboys based on JJ's comments.

  4. This team is a .500 team with or without Romo, but I'd like to get a QB that doesnt consistently make the same damn mistakes over and over in big game situations. It's time to give another QB a chance.

  5. Can't argue with that, Joe D. Seems like you're not that only Cowboys' fan tired of the status quo.
